The Ram 3500 tows almost as much as a semi, but its interior appointments give it an almost luxurious ride feel. This combination of durability, ruggedness, and refinement make this heavy-duty pickup a favorite among critics, drivers, and our West Branch, MI Team Hodges team. We spotlight two Ram 3500 durability features for your info.

Beefy Engine Lineup

Three capable engines move the Ram 3500 over roads and worksite paths. There's a 410-horsepower 6.4-liter V-8. The remaining two engines are both turbodiesel I6 engines, the first a 410-horsepower 6.7-liter high-output Cummins engine and a 'regular output' 370-horsepower 6.7-liter Cummins engine. They make 1,075 and 850 lb.-ft. of torque, respectively, pushing the Ram 3500's towing capacity to 37,000 pounds.

Integrated Towing Hardware

Factory-installed, each Ram 3500 comes equipped with a rear-axle structural crossmember. The crossmember has integrated mounting hardware that's compatible with the Ram 3500's available Fifth-Wheel and Gooseneck Prep Package. Integrated Towing Hardware makes it that much easier and secure to hitch up and drag the trailers, boats, machines, and gear that you need.
